We never sell or share your data with other companies. We use your data to quickly and conveniently copy photos on your behalf. Gather is a paid service that does not rely on revenue from advertising.

We only access and store data that we need, and we will do our best to be very clear about how we use that data. For example, you can read about Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, Google, and Instagram data and permissions Gather uses.

Out of the gate, we've ensured that we're PCI DSS compliant by using Stripe as our payments processor.

Here are some of the other basic things that we do:

  • Encrypt data when it's transmitted via TLS
  • Encrypt data at rest
  • Sign API requests when it's supported by the API provider
  • Utilize short-lived credentials for access to data
  • Only store data for as long as we need it. For example, we delete photos and any potentially sensitive metadata about them, such as location, as soon as we're done copying them to Google Photos on your behalf.
